Centre Avenue Housing

Men only residence. Rent is $442/month payable by money order made out to Centre Avenue Housing. Payment needed at move in. We will prorate the second month unless we are too close to the end of the month. In this case we will require the prorated amount plus the $442 for the following month. We do not require a security deposit.

 

• These are single rooms equipped with a twin size bed and small dresser. Twin size bedding is needed as well as pillows.

 

• The bathrooms and showers are on each floor and shared. Residents are responsible to clean up the bathrooms after themselves and to keep their rooms cleaned. We do regular inspections.

 

• Residents do not have access to the kitchen but can have some items in their room to prepare food. The permitted items are stated in the rules. Residents are responsible for their own meals. However, we generally serve dinner Monday – Friday and will put out fruit, snacks or additional meals as we have them available. There is no additional charge for any meals that we may serve. Vending machines are onsite for residents’ convenience.

 

• Coin operated laundry facility is onsite.

 

• There is cable in the dining/recreation room. Residents may purchase cable for their room through Verizon or Comcast. The building is equipped with WiFi (not high speed).

 

• There are bike racks inside the facility for those who ride bicycles.

 

• Current residents receive a resident membership to the Thelma Lovette YMCA. There is also a small fitness room onsite. Resident must sign a waiver to enter the room and/or use equipment. This is for resident use only.

 

• No smoking of any sort (including vapes), No alcohol, No drugs and No weapons permitted in the building.

 

• Visitors only permitted on first floor and outside. Only emergency, medical and mental health personnel are permitted to visit with a resident in their room. (must have proper photo ID and sign in at the desk – except emergency personnel)

 

This is not a managed care living facility. Men must be able to take care of themselves, clean up after themselves in all shared spaces and maintain their room.
